Subaru Tuning ECU Remapping and Dyno Calibration
At Lukos Engineering, we provide Subaru ECU remapping and custom dyno calibration for road cars and performance builds. We tailor the work to the engine, control system, fuel and installed hardware, with the intended use of the vehicle guiding the calibration priorities.
Subaru projects can range from a standard road car to a vehicle with substantial intake, exhaust or engine modifications. Each setup has different requirements. We establish the vehicle's specification and current behaviour before deciding which calibration changes are appropriate, with drivability and consistent performance considered alongside measured power.
Why choose Lukos Engineering
Controlled testing is central to understanding a modified vehicle. Our in-house eddy-current hub dyno allows us to apply load and assess available engine data while developing the calibration. We consider the recorded behaviour alongside the vehicle's mechanical condition, helping identify inconsistencies that need investigation before further performance changes are made. The aim is to base each decision on the individual car.

ECU remapping and dyno calibration
The correct calibration depends on the complete engine setup. An intake, injector, turbocharger or other hardware change can alter the requirements of the existing tune, so we establish what is fitted and assess the available control functions before making adjustments. Fuel specification and the condition of relevant supporting systems form part of that assessment.
On turbocharged applications, we evaluate boost behaviour together with fuelling, ignition and the resulting torque delivery. For naturally aspirated engines, we focus on fuelling, ignition and throttle behaviour in relation to the fitted hardware. Dyno testing and data logging provide a basis for refining the calibration through the usable operating range, including progressive throttle inputs and sustained load where appropriate. Gains depend on the starting specification and are established through measurement.
Subaru tuning in the UK
Subaru tuning availability varies by model year, engine and ECU. Compatibility, previous modifications and mechanical condition determine the available service and scope of calibration.
