ECU remapping and dyno calibration

The calibration priorities depend on the Honda's engine and ECU. On a naturally aspirated application, we assess fuelling, ignition and response in relation to the fitted hardware. Turbocharged vehicles may also require changes to boost control and torque management. The scope and expected improvement are established from the actual setup.

During dyno development, we assess delivery at the operating points relevant to the car's use. For a road car, this includes smooth progression from light throttle to heavier acceleration. For a track build, the focus extends to behaviour under the intended load and operating conditions. We review engine data alongside measured output and investigate inconsistencies before continuing calibration.
