Lukos Engineering provides BMW tuning, ECU remapping and custom dyno calibration for petrol and diesel vehicles. From a daily driven 3 Series to a modified M car, we tailor the calibration to the engine, transmission, fuel and hardware fitted, with attention to how the vehicle will be used.

ECU remapping and dyno calibration

BMW engine tuning is developed around the ECU strategy and the mechanical specification. Petrol and diesel applications require different calibration choices, while the scope for improvement also depends on whether the engine is naturally aspirated or turbocharged. Fuel quality, cooling and existing modifications help determine appropriate targets.

For a modified car, the work may involve refining fuelling, ignition and boost control to suit an upgraded intake, intercooler or exhaust system. On a road car, smoother delivery and useful mid-range response remain central to the result. Where the transmission controller is supported, gearbox calibration can be developed alongside engine tuning to match shift behaviour and torque delivery to the complete setup.
